Oral Health Therapists

In Aotearoa (New Zealand), the Districts provide free dental care for under 18 year olds. Oral Health Therapists play a key role in delivering quality oral health care to this key demographic group. Districts also deliver emergency dental care, services associated with acute illness and other medical conditions as well as limited service provision to low income adults.

While working in a District you'll be at the cutting edge of oral health therapy, working in a dynamic team with opportunities to increase your professional development.

To practice in New Zealand as an Oral Health Therapist or a Dental Therapist you will need to have a recognised qualification and be competent to practice with a paediatric scope. For more details please refer to the Dental Council link below:
