About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, registered nurse with operating theatre experience to join our vibrant, fast paced team. As the largest hospital campus in New Zealand and a leading tertiary hospital, Waikato Hospital is the regional hub for the Midlands area. Here, you will have the unique opportunity to work across a diverse range of theatres, tackling exciting and complex cases. The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the Nurses and Midwifery Collecitve Agreement. Additional benefits include KiwiSaver contributions (if eligible), shift allowances, professional development and wellness support.

About the Team/ Service
The Theatres and Anaesthesia department at Waikato Hospital is comprised of 22 Operating Theatres, a Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit and Day of Surgery Admission Unit. A wide range of surgical specialties include General Surgery, Vascular, Cardiac, Urology, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Paediatrics, Delivery Suite, Gynaecology, Maxillofacial and more.
About you
Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:
- A minimum of 3 years’ previous nursing experience in any speciality
• Current APC & eligibility to work in New Zealand
• Enthusiasm and commitment in a changing environment
• Strong patient focus
• Well-developed team and communication skills
