Intern Pharmacist - Waitematā District

- Intern Pharmacist: Waitematā (North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals), 12 months Fixed Term, Fulltime Role
- December 2025/January 2026 start dates to be confirmed
- Our team focus is on the safe and effective use of medicines, providing a patient-orientated clinical pharmacy service and utilising innovation and technology including e-Prescribing and automated medication distribution systems.
- As an intern you will receive a well-rounded introduction to Hospital Pharmacy Services in Aotearoa, working alongside a supportive and enthusiastic team.

About the Role
The Pharmacy Departments are based at North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals. Dedicated to the delivery of public health care, Health New Zealand Waitematā is committed to provide “best care for everyone” from patients and whanau to the community and iwi and the healthcare teams we work alongside.
We encourage research and new ideas and are committed to continuing professional development. Our pharmacists regularly present at conferences and our team is well respected throughout the pharmacy community due to our contributions to patient care through practice-based research.
Our Intern pharmacists receive comprehensive training in the following areas:
- Clinical pharmacy services – medical, surgical, geriatrics, mental health, paediatrics
- Dispensing in a hospital pharmacy environment
- Dispensing in a community pharmacy (North Shore Hospital and Waitākere Hospital Outpatient Pharmacies)
