About the Role
Have you ever thought of working in a commercial kitchen?
Join our dedicated and hard-working WellFood Department and help feed our
tūroro (patients) and whānau (families).
Our Kitchen Assistant kapa (team) are responsible for ensuring that the needs of our tūroro are met to the highest standard. Preparing and presenting food and carrying out general cleaning duties. You will also be responsible for maintaining and adhering to our Food Control Plan, Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora code of conduct and Health and Safety procedures.
Starting rate $27.80 per hour, based on the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreement.
Skills and Experience
- Exceptional skill and passion for food and coffee.
- Experience in cash management and till operations.
- Great barista skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all walks of life.
- A friendly, positive attitude with the ability to maintain speed without compromising standards.
- Reliable with good time management.
- Flexible approach and a - can do - attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Have previous experience in a similar environment.
