Tiaho Mai – Acute Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit

At Tiaho Mai, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health crises. Our acute adult mental health inpatient unit, located within Middlemore Hospital, serves a diverse community, from Otahuhu to Mercer and beyond, including Kaiaua and Port Waikato. We are seeking NZ Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our dynamic team and help make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.

We are looking for experienced, compassionate nurses who possess a strong skill set in acute mental health care. You will provide essential inpatient treatment, uphold recovery principles, and deliver patient-centred care and carer support while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work across both High Dependency and Low Dependency Wards, contributing to the development of comprehensive acute skills in a collaborative and supportive setting.

Essential Requirements:

• NZ Registered Comprehensive or Psychiatric Nurse.
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Extensive knowledge of mental illness & treatment interventions.
• Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in Mental Health.
• Full & Clean NZ Driver's Licence.

Desired Experience:

• Previous experience in a inpatient mental health setting is highly regarded but not essential.
