About the Role
We are seeking a is seeking a dynamic and motivated midwife to join the BadgerNet team in a Clinical Midwife Specialist role. This position focuses on supporting the clinical component of the BadgerNet Maternity system and offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth.
As part of the BadgerNet team, you’ll work closely with midwives, clinicians, and IT professionals to enhance the delivery of care through cutting-edge technology. We value a shared commitment to excellence, equity, and continuous improvement, ensuring our community receives the best possible maternity services.
This permanent, part-time position offers flexibility, allowing you to balance other commitments or work an additional 8-32 hours per fortnight in another midwifery role if desired.
As the Clinical Midwife Specialist, you will:
- Bring your knowledge and experience of the New Zealand Midwifery system to enhance the functionality and usability of BadgerNet.
- Leverage your understanding of IT and clinical applications used in Hawkes Bay to ensure smooth integration and system use.
- Demonstrate coaching skills to support and train colleagues while maintaining a focus on detail and data quality.
- Adapt to challenges with a positive attitude, a good sense of humour, and the ability to be flexible.
Comprehensive training and support on BadgerNet will be provided for the right candidate.

About you
Our ideal candidate will have,
- New Zealand registered midwife with a current annual practising certificate
- Have a strong understanding of the needs, aims, and aspirations of whānau from culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Be passionate about delivering equitable, whānau-centred care.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring seamless collaboration within the multidisciplinary team.
- Be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and eager to learn new systems efficiently.
