We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our Inpatient Receptionist team at Health New Zealand 183 Pembroke Street, Waikato Hospital, Hamilton.
About the Role
As a successful Receptionist, you will be key in offering reception and administrative responsibilities to the team in a very busy environment. The successful applicant must be methodical in approach, highly organised, flexible, and desire to be a supportive team member. They must also have excellent customer service skills.
Day to day you will be welcoming patients and visitors, answering the telephone answering any inquiries, and liaising with the Medical Team. Data capturing of patient flow. Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation. Keeping a clean and calm reception area in a busy environment.
About the Service
Inpatient Receptionist is committed to front desk operations in the wards, responsible for greeting, admitting, discharging, transfer of patient staying within the ward and managing patient records. They ensure the smooth running of the reception area and provide essential support to healthcare staff and our success is driven by the care of patients and their whanau.
About you
Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Office skills, previous clerical and hospital experience
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
