2 X Fixed-term roles 0.7FTEand 0.8FTE covering parental leave from August and September 2024 for 12 months

Our 30-bed medical unit is the only acute medical admitting ward at Nelson Hospital. We are a fast paced, dynamic unit catering to several medical specialities such as cardiology, oncology, respiratory and neurology.
Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
You will have current registration with the NZ Nursing Council and recent acute nursing experience. It will be important that you have a commitment to providing a quality service and being part of a high performing team.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has great assessment and time management skills. You will be confident in your practice, able to work autonomously and relate well to a wide variety of people including patients, families, and our multidisciplinary clinical teams. Every day is different and our nurses enjoy the variety of work, the people they interact with, and the challenge of giving each patient the best experience whilst ensuring that everything runs to schedule.
