About the Role
We are looking to recruit to a General Medicine Specialist to join our team at Waikato Hospital in a fixed term position for 1 year to cover various Sabbaticals being taking within the department.
As a successful appointment, you will play a key role in the day-to-day activities of the busy department, with ward duties, participation in running clinics and on call commitments when rostered.
The appointee will be encouraged to be involved in teaching, continuing medical education and quality improvement.
There is emphasis on ongoing development of services to meet the needs of our patients. A commitment to customer focus, service development and teamwork are essential.
About the Team/Service/ Location
We aim to continue building on our multidisciplinary. You will be part of a large, dedicated team of physicians, registrars, clinical nurse specialists, allied health and administrative staff.
About you
Required skills & experience you will need to be consider for this role:
- Possess specific clinical skills in endoscopic procedures essential
- Registered with the New Zealand Medical Council (or have qualification that are immediately registerable) and have appropriate postgraduate qualifications
