Senior Medical Officer, Infectious Disease
Counties Manukau Health (CM Health) is looking to employ an Adult Infectious Diseases (ID) physician for a part time role.
Salary Range (dependant on experience) $185,380 - $267,980

CM Health provides care for an ethnically diverse, South Auckland population of approximately 600,000. The Infectious Diseases (ID) department is based in Middlemore hospital, an 800 bed public hospital which is also home to the National Burns Centre and the receiving hospital for Auckland airport, the main international gateway into New Zealand.
The ID department consists of 9 part-time SMOs and 2 registrars. The department works very closely with other infection services, namely microbiology, infection, prevention & control (IP&C), Outpatient Antimicrobial (OPAT) services and infectious diseases pharmacy. Applicants should be strong team players.
The ID service at CM Health provides extensive specialist consultation and advice as required across the institution for adult inpatients and outpatients including community advice through its inpatient services, outpatient clinics, OPAT support and advice lines. The service maintains a 24hr, 7 days a week, rostered on call service.
Applicants must hold a fellowship to the RACP (or equivalent) which enable registration as an Infectious Diseases physician by the Medical Council of New Zealand.
