An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Rotorua.
Mō te tūranga / About the role
- The key responsibilities pertain to the nursing leadership in iCAMHS. As a senior, experienced mental health nurse you will be committed to ensuring the ongoing quality of service delivery within the team, provide clinical guidance and support the Clinical Nurse Manager in the management of all resources. Essential requirements include: ability to provide clinical formulation; talking therapy with children, young people and their whanau; an ability to work systemically.
- The successful appointee must have a good working knowledge of the Mental Health and Addictions sector, and the broader services and communities that interface with the team. It is preferred that the successful candidate has strong assessment and therapeutic intervention, specifically therapy skills. The successful candidate should also be able to work efficiently both independently and with other clinicians in our skilled multi-disciplinary team.
- Full time, Monday to Friday working days

It is essential to have an ability to connect and build trusting relationships with a wide range of people from the community. Experience and knowledge in working systemically with families is essential.
Applicants must have registration, or be eligible for registration, with a NZ professional body, hold a current full clean NZ drivers licence, and meet requirements for the children’s worker safety checks.
Post-graduate qualifications are favourable, or a demonstrated commitment to completing post-graduate studies to Masters level.

Awhe utu / Salary range
$ 116,040 to $ 127,674 pro-rated to hours worked.
