Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)
This position is located in our district-wide
Referral Centre based at Wairau Hospital. You will be working within a high performing
team undertaking a range of duties to support the administration of external
and interdepartmental referrals.
Duties will include, but are not
limited to: preparing referrals by acknowledging receipt; inputting referrals
into our patient management system; updating the status of referrals post
triage; fielding enquiries from staff, clinicians and external referrers as
well as reviewing and acting on reporting information to ensure targets are
met.
Hours of work are typically between 07.00AM and 6.00PM, Monday to Friday. The salary range for this position is $64,903 per annum pro rata.

You will be team focussed and thrive in a
busy environment delivering quality customer service. You will also enjoy the
challenge of managing last minute changes, whilst maintaining high levels of
accuracy and staying calm when under pressure.
Previous administration and secretarial
experience, a high degree of computer literacy and the ability to work
autonomously are essential. Experience with hospital management systems e.g.
(SIPICS, Health Connect South, Winscribe and EPLMS) and knowledge of medical
terminology is advantageous.
Please note - our preferred applicant will be
required to undertake a computer skills assessment.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course
of two NZ approved COVID-19 vaccinations.
