Specialist Clinical Nurse -Neurology research

Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District
Location: Wellington Hospital - Neurology OPD CMU level 2
Service: Neurology service - Reserach
Contract: Fix term contract for 2 years part-time position 0.4 FTE increasing up to 0.5 FTE dependant on needs
Salary: grade 2 SCN $85,560 pro rota
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Neurology have a number of clinical trials and research projects running with several being planned. The areas are diverse but mainly relating to long-term conditions like Movement disorders (Huntington - s and Parkinson - s disease), MS and epilepsy. We do run a very busy stroke service and there are always areas of stroke that we are doing research in to try and improve care.
Please note we have a number of SNC roles in neurology being advertised due to retirement and increase in FTE / service expansion. Please also see vacancy NM228-23 & NM229-23 regarding these positions. It maybe that one person may wish to combine part- time roles.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
You will join a busy department with several SNC, CNS and NP nurses all with expertise in differing areas of neurology who will act as a resource, as required. Our Neurologist and specialist registrars all actively participate in research and are readily available and we run teaching sessions, clinical audit and M&M one morning a week which staff are encouraged to participate in/ join

We are looking for someone with experience in running / coordinating research who has an interest and, if possible some experience, within Neurology
