Health & Safety Business Partner (full time) Occupational Health, Te Whatu Ora

The position of Health and Safety Business Partner is part of our specialised in-house Occupational Health & Safety Team, which provides the organisation with both H&S advisory and Occupational Health clinical services. In this role you will report directly to the Manager, Occupational Health & Safety and will be based at Middlemore Hospital with flexible working options available. This is full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday.
Essential to achieving improved health and safety performance will be the ability to communicate effectively to develop and maintain a positive safety culture and a proactive approach to working with our service areas to support Managers and Employees.
If you are a current Health & Safety Business Partner looking for a new challenge or a Senior Health & Safety Advisor looking to advance your careers this could be the role for you. We’re looking for someone who can take on a leadership role within the Health & Safety team sharing their knowledge, skills and expertise and provide guidance and mentorship. Experience in undertaking projects, managing H&S documentation, risk assessments, root cause analysis investigation techniques, and internal audit experience would be preferred. Experience in a complex but sensitive work environment would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have a strong results focus attitude, combined with solid H&S knowledge and demonstrated ability to be innovative when looking at solutions.
