Audiologist - Mātanga Rongo

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Current PSA Allied Public Health and Technical MECA steps 1-12, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Audiologist with a commitment to high-quality audiological care to join a supportive, friendly, and innovative team that puts the patient and their family/whānau at the centre of everything it does. The role is equally based at Wellington Hospital and Kenepuru Community Hospital with support for our ENT service. We offer a full range of services including electrophysiological assessments, paediatric/adult diagnostics and habilitation (including Bone Anchored/Conduction Hearing Aids), APD assessments and diagnostic assessments for ENT clinics. The successful applicant will have both a paediatric and adult diagnostic and habilitation caseload. Applicants must have their NZAS Clinical Certificate of Competency or eligible for the fast-track process and NZAS Paediatric Certificates (ABR, VRA, HAB) or eligible for the fast-track process.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
Our Audiology team is comprised of five Audiologists, an Audiometrist, an Audiology technician, and two administrators. As a member of our team you will be supported with professional development opportunities to assist you in meeting your continuing competency requirements, as well as clinical supervision (if required for fast-tract process only).
Moū - About you
We are looking for an advanced audiologist with a strong paediatric background. Required skills and experience include:
- Master - s degree in Audiology, or have an equivalent qualification recognised by New Zealand Audiological Society
- Have a strong paediatric background in diagnostics and habilitation/rehabilitation
- Hold or be eligible for the fast-track NZAS Clinical Certificate of Competency
- Hold or be eligible for the fast-track NZAS Paediatric Certificates (ABR, VRA, HAB)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly in a busy clinic environment, whilst maintaining high standards of care
- The ability to work well within a team
