The details: Permanent Monday to Friday covering the hours of 09:00am – 18:30pm

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

The Transfer Nurse team is an exciting new permanent addition to Te Whatu Ora - Waikato, its aim is to increase efficiencies within inpatient services by providing a service to support with patient transfers to differing departments to aid in patient flow. On occasion there may be inter-hospital transfers to facilitate as well as supporting/tasking in our inpatient wards. The hours will be between 09:00 and 18:30, Monday to Friday. This role will suits someone who enjoys variety, flourishes during patient communication and is able to work in an autonomous capacity.

The Transfer Nurse Team at Te Whatu Ora - Waikato are responsible for providing high quality patient and whanau focussed care during patient transfers within the campus of Te Whatu Ora - Waikato, as well as inter-hospital transfers and support of inpatient wards when required.

 

Mōu | About you

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

  • Registration with the NZ Nursing Council and a current Annual Practising Certificate

  • At least 2 years previous experience in acute Te Whatu Ora - Waikato health setting
