Radiology Clinical Assistant

If you have an interest in working in or seeking a career in healthcare, we have a great opportunity for you to join our dedicated team of health care professionals in a fast paced and supportive environment. As a Radiology Clinical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting an X-ray, Ultrasound and CT services in delivering quality patient care for our patients and whanau. This role will be based in the Radiology Department at Thames Hospital. This is a fixed term role with a minimum of 32 hours per week.

 

A typical day as a Radiology Clinical Assistant can include:

  • Supporting the Medical Imaging Technologists (Radiographers) and Sonographers

  • Transporting and moving patients

  • Undertaking administrative duties

  • Maintaining an effective workflow and working environment in key Radiology service areas

  • Restocking of supplies

  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment

  • Other such duties that will assist with the smooth running of the department

 

The successful candidate will be provided with a comprehensive orientation programme and supportive staff development opportunities.

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

  • Previous experience in this role would be an advantage but not essential as onsite training is provided

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Have a strong patient focus, attention to detail and multi-tasking.

  • Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

  • Utilise excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Computer literacy
