Registered Nurse - Gastroenterology

Service:    Specialist Services

Contract:  Registered Nurse permanent part time (0.7-0.9 FTE available)

Salary:      As per nursing MECA Step 2-7 ( depending on experience)

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with an interest in endoscopy and preassessment work to fill a current vacancy within the Gastroenterology department, as well as further opportunities within the National Bowel Screening Programme, primarily based at Kenepuru Hospital.

Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team

The Gastroenterology Department provides regional and tertiary services for most aspects of gastroenterology. There is a strong nursing focus on endoscopy and interventional procedures for both adults and, periodically, children in inpatient and outpatient services. 

We can offer new team member - s options to expand their skills set and grow in their career. And offer the opportunity to work across our two main sites, Kenepuru and Wellington.

We have a strong commitment to nursing education and excellence in patient care; there are many opportunities to further your education and be part of a committed and innovative team. The service actively encourages ongoing professional development including post-graduate study and PDRP development. We have a committed nursing team which provides ongoing direction and support.

Moū - About you

  • Experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy helpful but not essential.
  • 1 year post grad nursing experience
  • NZNC registration
  • Current APC
  • Current NZ Working VISA
