We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced mental health nurse who is incredibly passionate about teaching, training and supporting the mental health workforce to be ready for new and innovative practice models.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You would be part of a senior team of clinicians working on the overall Nursing Strategy for the Mental Health and Addictions Directorate and contributing to many key improvement initiatives.
Reporting directly to the Nurse Director, you will partner with our community based Team Leader to strengthen the nursing role within a rapidly changing city environment. This is your opportunity to influence strategy by being part of the Nursing Leadership group for Mental Health Services Team.
You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with Level 4 PDRP and at least five years’ clinical practice. If you have a high level of understanding of the continuum of care for service users and a commitment to the fundamental values and attitudes of modern mental health, we may have just the challenge you are seeking.
You will be a committed professional with a well-grounded clinical background and will ideally have recently completed or be studying toward a relevant Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Mental Health Nursing practice or teaching. A Full NZ Driver's Licence is also essential.
