Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and leadership team are looking to grow and develop an experienced registered nurse into the role of CNS Emergency Medicine, Specialising in Minor injuries and illnesses. This is a 1year fixed term, part time role. You will be mentored and supported by the CNS and Nurse Practitioner (NP) team to learn, develop, gain the skills and knowledge to safely and successfully care for those presenting to the emergency department with minor injuries and illnesses. You will be expected to be working towards advance nursing practice both on the PDRP pathway and advanced nursing papers. With a clear direction to continue in emergency nursing practice.

Our focus at Hutt ED is to think outside the box and align with the nursing strategy on how we can develop the nursing workforce. The team at Hutt is dedicated to supporting nurses into different pathways within the emergency department starting from New Graduates NetP - s, through to Associate Clinical Nurse Mangers, Clinical Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialist/ RN Prescribers and Nurse Practitioners.
