An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Consultant Psychiatrist and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at the Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Addiction Services based in Rotorua, but including clinics in Taupo for the Southern Lakes community.

The role is based in the Rotorua Children’s hub and involves some clinic days at the satellite office in Taupo.   Lakes has been recognised for the inspired collaboration to provide a single, centrally accessible centre for children and their family and Whānau where holistic healthcare can be provided. 


About the role
•    Busy role with a broad variety of psychiatry
•    1:6 on-call roster
•    Permanent, full-time role (40 hours / week) – hours negotiable

About you - you should have 
•    A broad range of psychiatric skills with specific application in working with children, adolescents and families
•    Hold or be eligible for Vocational Registration with Medical Council of NZ
•    Enjoy teaching – Rotorua is a teaching hospital with 4th, 5th and 6th year medical students as well as registrars training for fellowship with the RANZCP

Salary range
$129,547 - 1$95,800 per annum

The selection process starts from the date of advertising. 

To be eligible to work at Te Whatu Ora Lakes, you must be fully vaccinated, including COVID-19.
