Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
While fluency in Te Reo is advantageous, applicants with a basic understanding of Te Reo Māori will be considered, as we can support development in the Māori language within our workplace. A background in health, social services, or the like, would be desirable, but again - is not essential.
Having an established understanding and network of our local Māori communities would be an asset. The ability to work as a member of a team will be essential. While we welcome applicants of all ages, we do encourage rangatahi/youth to apply for this position as part of our commitment to invest in our younger generations.
For the health and safety of staff and patients all Te Whatu Ora (Nelson Marlborough) staff are required to comply with the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021, including boosters.
