Occupational Therapist Advanced Clinician (Full Time) Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
Based at Te Puawaitanga, Springs Road, East Tamaki
Salary will depend on placement on PSA Allied Health MECA (between Step 11 $93,397 - 14 $107,449)

We are looking for a visionary and forward thinking Occupational Therapist- Advanced Clinician to work with us to improve equity and health outcomes for tamariki (children) and rangatahi (youth) across our 2 CAMHS teams (Te Puawaitanga – covering the Manukau, Manurewa, Papakura & Franklin region, and Taunaki – covering Papatoetoe, Otara, Mangere and East Auckland region).
This is a newly established position within Counties Manukau District where you will have the opportunity to work in conjunction with managers and professional leaders.
You will support high standards of clinical practice and service planning / development by providing clinical leadership within CAMHS. In your role, you will also assist in developing the clinical capability of others, take a lead in setting standards, quality assurance and improvement and research activities relevant to the area of expertise.
The Advanced Clinician role is a designated role that utilises advanced knowledge, clinical expertise and competencies to coordinate, deliver and support professional services in one or more specialist areas. The role is based with the Te Puawaitanga team where the majority of the clinical mahi will occur (managing a clinical caseload). In addition, the other aspects of the role related to quality improvement, service development, and clinical leadership will span across both CAMHS teams.

- Registration with the New Zealand Occupational Therapy Board
- Current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
- Minimum of 6 years postgraduate experience working as OT in MH&A
- Full clean driver’s licence with no limitations
