Health Care Assistant Matariki

Where you will be working: Matariki Continuing Care - Te Awamutu
The details: Permanent, full-time and part-time positions available, working a rostered and rotating shift basis
About the service:
As part of the Older Persons and Rehabilitation Service, Matariki cares mostly for post acute patients who have been inpatients at Waikato or Thames hospitals and need time to recover prior to discharge home.
Matariki has a rehabilitative focus and also cares for palliative and daycare patients.
About the role:
Successful applicants must be available to work rostered and rotating 8hr shifts 24/7 across all 7 days of the week.
Applicants will need to have a passion to care for the elderly in a kind and empathetic manner and be prepared to work in a busy and challenging environment.

To be successful in this role you must have a current work permit and previous work experience in a New Zealand health care setting. Preference will be given to those who have achieved health related NZQA standards.
This role includes working under the direction and supervision of the registered nursing team.
