We are looking for a Senior Registered Nurse, to support the Charge Nurse Manager in our busy Inpatient Unit at Wairau Hospital.
The Associate Charge Nurse Manger
(ACNM) will be responsible for daily coordination of the unit in partnership
with the dedicated multidisciplinary team. They will provide clinical
leadership for staff, assist with coaching and supervision, and will also
provide direct patient care. The ACNM will have delegated responsibility for aspects
of the CNM role such as rostering and performance management.
This is a permanent full time
position working 80 hours a fortnight (1.0FTE), reporting to the CNM of the
Inpatient Unit. Shifts
will be rostered working 9AM - 6:30PM with some weekends and other shifts if required.

You will be a highly organised, motivated and adaptable individual with a strong team focus. Additionally; you will have a sound appreciation of the details involved in managing staff and coordinating facilities and resources in a sometimes pressured environment. We expect a composed manner and strong relational skills; necessary attributes in a busy and sometimes reactive environment.
For the health and safety of staff and patients all NMH staff are required to be vaccinated in accordance with the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021.
