Diabetes Specialist Dietitian
This role is an advanced dietetic role with expert knowledge and skills in all aspects of diabetes care. The Diabetes Specialist Dietitian is a core clinical position that supports people living with diabetes and their whānau.
You will provide dietetic assessment, intervention and education that is effective and responsive to the holistic needs of people with diabetes and their family/whanau, where patient voice remains central in their journey towards self-management. You will carry a caseload of patients as part of a locality cluster and provide cover as required for your colleague(s) to ensure delivery of an equitable service for patients throughout Taranaki.
enhancing the health provider community’s understanding of effective nutrition intervention for people with diabetes.
- Have Dietitian Prescriber Endorsement or are working towards this
- Have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
