Nurse Specialist, Regional Huntingtons Disease Service
- Part time (0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week), fixed term role of one year as a Regional Huntington’s Disease Service Nurse Specialist

The Regional Huntington’s Disease Service is based at Auckland City Hospital and is involved with service users and their whānau at the predictive testing, early symptomatic and diagnostic phases as well as people experiencing active disease through to end of life care.
This is a senior clinical position and we welcome applications from Registered Nurses with a strong background in mental health nursing. You will join the small but dedicated team comprising a Nurse Specialist, a Psychiatrist and a Team Administrator. We will provide a challenging, stimulating and supportive working environment including excellent supervision and a commitment to staff's on going professional development.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive Mental Health Assessments and develop management plans for our service users and work with/alongside regional services to implement inpatient care for them.
You will have a current registration and annual practising certificate (no conditions on your scope of practise) and clean driver’s license.
