Contract: Permanent, Part Time (24 hour per week / 0.6FTE)
Salary: $75,078 (Allied MECA) / $83,245 (Nursing MECA) pro rata

The Child Adolescent Mental Health Service, Kapiti Team, provides mental health services to young people and their whanau in the Kapiti community. CAMHS also provides consultation services for lead agencies working with children and youth with primary mental health disorders. The successful applicant will become part of a multidisciplinary team delivering quality care to tangata whaiora/consumers/families.

The Intake and Assessment Clinician s role involves working collaboratively with the CAMHS teams and other service providers to access the most appropriate service/support for the person based on their needs. CAMHS is committed to the use of the CAPA model which is a continuous service improvement model that combines personalised care and collaborative practice when partnering with service users and their family/whanau.
You will be triaging non-urgent referrals from a variety of sources in the community, liaising with relevant services to ensure young people receive safe, high quality and equitable care.
Moū About you
You will be an experienced registered mental health professional (Allied Health or Nursing) with at least 5 years of recent work experience in a DHB mental health service, an up to date annual practicing certificate, and experience in mental health triage and risk assessment.
