Operating within the Auckland metropolitan area, Lotofale aims to provide a cultural specific quality Mental Health service to adult Pacific consumers and their families. The team consists of clinicians and cultural community support workers who work across the ADHB mental health service localities. The service works collaboratively with other ADHB mental health services as well as local community based health and social services.
Our clients depend upon the support and guidance of skilled professionals to assist them in maintaining and developing a wide range of skills to strengthen their process of recovery.
The Cultural Community Support Worker role requires integrity, flexibility, knowledge of recovery principles and community resources and a genuine interest in the co-ordination and/or facilitation of group oriented programs and activities. It also requires someone who practices cultural awareness and safety, with a good understanding of our Pacific people and their needs. It would be beneficial to be able to speak a Pacific language and to have some knowledge about the Pacific models of care.
You will have a relevant certificate or diploma qualification in Mental Health and some cultural qualifications with a strong commitment to teamwork, best practice and the empowerment of mental health consumers. A full and clean driver's licence is required.
This is a permanent, full time role covering Monday to Friday based in Greenlane Clinical Centre. 2 Positions are vacant.
