About the role
The role of Nurse Co-ordinator, Professional Development is to promote professional development activities and assist nurses at Hutt Valley District Health Board to advance their practice. This is achieved primarily through the Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) process by ensuring the philosophy of the PDRP is upheld and maintained across the DHB including support for primary and aged care.
The role also covers coordination of pre-registration student nursing and paramedic placements with an emphasis on maximising the clinical learning experience of all students and promoting the placement and visibility of Maori and Pacific nursing students to build the future workforce capability at the DHB.
You will need be registered with the Nursing Council of NZ and hold a current APC. You will also need to have a Post Graduate qualification (or working towards one).
