Our 30 bed medical unit is the only acute medical admitting ward at Nelson Hospital. We are a fast paced, dynamic unit catering to a number of medical specialities such as cardiology, oncology, respiratory and neurology. We have an opening for two permanent Registered Nurses, or Enrolled Nurses, working 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE).

You will have current registration with the NZNC and recent acute nursing experience. It will be important that you have a commitment to providing a quality service and being part of a high performing team.
This role would suit a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced
environment and has great assessment and time management skills. You will be
confident in your practice, able to work autonomously and relate well to a wide
variety of people including patients, families, and our multidisciplinary
clinical teams. Every day is different and our nurses enjoy the variety of
work, the people they interact with, and the challenge of giving each patient
the best experience, whilst ensuring that everything runs to schedule.
