We are looking for a full-time (40 hours per week), clinical pharmacist to join our collaborative hospital team.
As a pharmacy department, we have a strong clinical presence across all areas of the hospital and linkages into our local community. We provide a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical care and extended roles to a variety of clinical areas.
The pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care it delivers.
About the role
Your primary role as a clinical pharmacist will be to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a consultant-linked clinical pharmacy services to the Intensive Care Unit and Paediatrics ward. The role includes participation in ward rounds, medicines reconciliation, discharge counselling, dispensary services, mentoring, and promoting the safe and quality use of medicines. You would be expected to provide high-quality, effective clinical pharmacy services with a focus on improving patient outcomes and ensuring optimal medicines utilisation.
If you are highly self-motivated, enjoy working with other health professionals, and can demonstrate effective teamwork and communication, then this role could be for you. Candidates must have a current New Zealand APC in good standing, and at least one year of current clinical experience. Hospital pharmacy experience is also preferred.
