Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join our clinical leadership team on Ward 5 North (Oncology, Haematology and Renal), Wellington Regional Hospital as Associate Charge Nurse Manager (ACNM)
The successful candidate will be working closely with Charge Nurse Manager and other senior Nurses in providing clinical leadership within the ward
As one of our Associate Charge Nurse Managers, you will provide support to the senior nursing team by extending the presence of clinical leadership and being responsible for delivering safe outcomes for all nursing services within 5 North on AM and Pm shifts Monday till Sunday .It is important to have an organisational focus and understanding, alongside service and speciality knowledge and expert nursing knowledge. It is vital that you can work well in a team as we value your contribution towards innovation, taking responsibility for you own professional development and working as part of a team with all that this encompasses.
As ACNM on Ward 5 North you will be provided with the opportunity to advance on the Professional Development and Recognition Program. Support will be provided in the form of study leave and a supportive leadership team who will endeavour to help you to plan a professional development pathway to suit your career goals and personal circumstances.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
Ward 5 north provides inpatient services for medical oncology, radiation oncology, haematology and renal specialities. We are a 40 bed inpatient ward with close links to the Cancer day ward, radiation therapy and the inpatient haemodialysis units providing a range of specialist services including but not limited to chemotherapy delivery, apheresis, Peritoneal Dialysis and stem cell transplantation and renal transplant.
Moū - About you
At least 2 years post-graduate experience in renal, oncology or haematology specialities
NZ Nursing experience or comparable health system
Ability to work in a team and sound knowledge of the principles of Direction and Delegation
Current Annual Practicing Certificate
Valid and current NZ work permit
