Salary: $76554 - $95340 based on experience Nurses & Midwives MECA
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We have permanent full-time or part time (0.8 FTE to 1 FTE) RN positions available within the Interventional Radiology & Cardiology Service at Wellington Hospital. The focus of the role is assisting with and providing high quality care to patients undergoing Interventional Radiology & Cardiology procedures and is similar to working in Operating Theatres. The working hours for the role are Monday - Friday with participation in an afterhours on call roster expected once fully trained. Duties include:
- Providing nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology or cardiology procedures
- Assisting with interventional procedures in scrub & circulating nurse roles
- Preparing patients effectively for procedures
- Supporting patients during procedures
- Safely caring for patients following procedures
- Maintaining a safe environment within the department

Moū - About you
You must have at least two year - s post registration experience in an acute setting preferably with experience in Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab, Operating Theatre or Cardiac or Vascular Nursing. We are looking for someone who is energetic, positive and highly motivated, who has the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team performing elective, acute and emergent procedures. This is a clinically demanding role and if you are up for a challenge and you have the ability to work under pressure, then we want to hear from you.
