Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role.
Based in the ORA Wellington Community Team and working in the community and in outpatients at Wellington Regional Hospital, this diverse and well-supported role consists of adult clients with a range of conditions. The community caseload includes providing nutritional support (including the management of patients with long term chronic conditions), managing patients on enteral feeds and home parenteral feed and working with patients with malnutrition. The outpatient aspect of the role provides specialist outpatient intervention in secondary care - seeing patients with gastrointestinal disease, malnutrition and severe allergy/immunological conditions.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Dietitian with at least 3 years post graduate and work experience to join us at the ORA Wellington Community Team at Capital & Coast District Health Board. This is a fixed-term, part-time position based in Wellington at the Ewart Building. The Wellington Community Team is an interdisciplinary team of allied health, nursing and medical professionals working together with people aged 16 and above within their own homes and occasionally as outpatients.

Working with a diverse group of patients with significant health needs, you - ll demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills and have a flexible, problem solving approach. You will have the ability to quickly build strong working relationships with patients, whānau and the wider multidisciplinary team and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills. As a member of our team of dietitians at Capital & Coast you will be supported with regular professional development opportunities to assist you in meeting your continuing competency requirements, as well as regular clinical supervision
