Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Wairarapa Hospital is looking to employ a registered MRT. Your responsibilities will include working in all general areas of the department including, CT and Fluoroscopy and performing examinations in special care areas such as HDU, Theatre, Emergency and general wards.

Experience in CT preferable however applications will also be accepted from individuals willing to train in CT.

This is a permanent full time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, with a requirement to be available for the after-hours on call roster. Currently the service runs shifts Monday to Sunday, with an after-hours and weekend on-call component. Actual days and hours of work will be discussed further at interview.

The Imaging Department uses the Carestream PACS/RIS system:

• Fluoroscopy
• Ultrasonography
• General radiography
• CT

Moū - About you

The ideal candidate will have:

• Registered or eligible for registration by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board.
• Experience in CT or willingness to learn CT.
• Competent in the use of the Carestream PACS/RIS system.
• General radiography.
• Fluoroscopy sessions.
• Mobile radiography in theatre and wards as required
