Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Acute Service is a fast paced environment that supports those in the acute phase of illness and injury. We are looking for Healthcare Assistant to join our busy and dedicated team at Wairarapa Hospital wanting to make a difference to our patients and their Whanau in Acute Services.

If you are a caring and patient focused Healthcare Assistant interested in working in Acute Services we want to hear from you. Experience as a Healthcare Assistant is an advantage and we will support the successful applicant with training in the requirements of a hospital setting.

We have a permanent part time or full time positions available, rostered & rotating shifts.

Moū - About you

Experience working in a clinical hospital setting for a minimum of one year is essential. You will be required to work under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse. Communication skills are imperative between staff, patient and whanau and consideration will be given to those applying who can demonstrate this attribute.

The successful applicant will need to be physically fit and emotionally mature to manage the need within the department. It is also vital that the successful applicant is able to deliver that care with empathy and a patient focus.
