About the service:
The Nursing Resource Team at Waikato DHB are an internal bureau of nursing who provide relief and support across all other nursing services, as and when required. Our family orientated team gives you the opportunity to become multi-skilled and increase your knowledge by working in a variety of clinical areas. We offer clinical education, coaching and PDRP support from competent to expert levels.
About the role:
Nursing Resource Team has casual positions available for experiences nurses, who are looking for flexible hours; this could be an opportunity to broaden your nursing skills across many different clinical areas. We offer a supportive environment with an educator and clinical support nurses to assist with your development.
Required skills & experience:
• Registration with the NZ Nursing Council and a current Annual Practising Certificate;
• Current New Zealand Work Permit;
• Preference will be given to nurses who have worked in an Acute DHB setting in New Zealand;
• A preference for afternoon and night shifts is advantageous.

Waikato Hospital in Hamilton is one of New Zealand’s largest tertiary, teaching hospitals with over 600 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres. Clinical specialities include Women’s and Children Services, Cardiology / Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology and Haematology, Surgical services, and Mental Health and Addiction. Waikato Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology.
