Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Physiotherapist- Activity with Arthritis & Musculoskeletal Outpatients 1.0 FTE
We are seeking a Proficient Physiotherapist (s) to work as a Physiotherapist delivering the Activity With Arthritis Programme (AWA) – this is a full time position and may suit someone wanting part-time hours
This position is Musculoskeletal outpatient based + also works out of Health facilities in rural locations.
The aim is of this position is to provide care that reduces or prevents foreseeable deterioration in a person’s musculoskeletal condition to improve their quality of life and decrease future costs. Ideally early intervention for musculoskeletal conditions should be a core part of a musculoskeletal health service that precedes consideration of orthopaedic surgery.
In this role you will work closely with the Physiotherapists doing Orthopaedic Triage and the Physio Musculoskeletal Outpatient team.
This position will have the ability to flex to where the caseload demand is and as such offers a lot of variety and learning opportunities.
The client group in our OPD is varied can include musculoskeletal; pain; exercise group and activity with arthritis.

Moū - About you
You will need to have:-
· Current NZ Physiotherapy Annual Practising Certificate
· Valid work Visa for NZ
· Ideally at least five years’ experience working with musculoskeletal patients
· A passion for Musc Physio and desire to continue learning
· Problem solving approach
· Excellent cultural knowledge & practice
· Excellent communication skills to work with other staff and patients
· Excellent computer skills
· Desire for ongoing learning
· Working visa/NZ residence (as appropriate)
