Right now, we - re looking for a passionate nurse or allied health professional (social worker, occupational therapist, etc.) with an interest in youth and family to join our Violence Intervention Programme Team in Timaru. Dedicated to helping people live their best possible lives, we - re after someone who believes prevention is better than cure. Sound like you?
In this role, you will collaboratively coordinate the provision of the Violence Intervention Programme (VIP) for our DHB and facilitate best practice in the identification and management of child protection issues. You will deliver VIP training and support to health professionals, work with DHB service areas to improve understanding and practice, and manage local health system child protection alert process and reporting.
If you have strong community linkages, sound skills in communication, information systems, problem solving, facilitation and adult education, and are flexible, innovative and creative, then this is your opportunity to make a difference.
