Fixed-term Ward Administration Officer - 4th Floor and Frederick Street Outpatients
Dunedin
- Salary between $65,627 and $70,024 per annum
- Fixed-term cover until April 2025
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday role with hours worked between 6.30am - 3pm or 8am - 4.30pm depending on successful candidate

About the role
This role will effectively contribute to the smooth running of Ward 4B by providing an efficient and timely administration support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service.
Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
- Providing high quality administration support
- Set up and maintain effective electronic and paper filing systems and procedures relevant to the service, enabling quick access to information
- Identify potential improvements to systems and processes to ensure the continuous improvement of administrative duties
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other staff
- Providing excellent customer service, by listening and interacting in a courteous, polite and responsive manner while adhering to relevant established protocols

About you
Our ideal candidate will:
- be a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
- demonstrate flexibility and understand the need for strong attention to detail
- have excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- have competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired PSA South Island Clerical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the National Health Administration Workers Pay Scale, Band 3C between $65,627 and $70,024 p.a. dependant on relevant experience.
