Mō te tūranga - About the role
In this role you will provide short-term support as a caseload midwife for women due to birth their babies in December/January. You will be involved in the full scope of midwifery practice at our primary birthing unit, and maintain strong links with Southland Hospital for secondary level services and Dunedin Hospital who provide tertiary services
Your duties will include the following:
- Providing care across the midwifery scope of antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care within a Primary setting
- Completing home visits
- Labour and birth Care
- Providing support during transfers to secondary/tertiary services
- On call requirements

- Post graduate experience
- Midwifery Council Registration and a current APC
- Experience working across the spectrum or in a rural setting advantageous

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the DHB's/MERAS Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 ($102,799 p.a) and Step 2 ($104,599 p.a) pro rata.
