About the Role – what's in it for me?
We are looking for a Nurse Educator to step into this 0.6 FTE permanent role to continue to support new and existing staff within the Surgical department with the provision of education, training and resources that ensure practice is current, evidence based and fit for purpose.
A born communicator and collaborator, with the inherent ability to build successful working relationships, this role will see you working alongside nurses, medical colleagues as well as other educators within the wider PDU team to provide practice and professional development opportunities that enhance service delivery, quality and safety alongside improved patient outcomes.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Considerable post registration experience in surgical nursing
- Professional credibility in the clinical setting
- Confidence and passion for supporting and developing our nurses
- First-rate knowledge of the professional standards and regulations for nurses
- Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate, hold or be working towards an appropriate postgraduate qualification, and hold or be working towards PDRP.
Participating in the recruitment of new nurses, developing and implementing their orientation programme is all part of the job.
