Registered Nurse - Community Mental Health for Older People

- Dunedin Hospital, permanent part-time 0.7 FTE
- Monday - Friday 28 hours per week
- Salary between $75,773 and $106,739 per annum pro rata

About the role
This community-based role will see you working Monday to Friday providing care for people over 65 years of age who are experiencing mental illness.
This role will:
- embrace case management by providing group and individual work with clients
- create positive impacts with older people in a mental health environment
- collaborate with Community Psychiatric Nurses and Nurse Practitioners also support Older Persons' Mental Health Services in the community
- develop positive relationships
- contribute to improving patient lives.

About you
Our ideal candidate will:
- be a Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
- have a Mental health scope of practice to allow for working within this sector - more information can be found at http://www.nursingcouncil.org.nz/Nurses/Scopes-of-practice'
- have previous Mental Health experience
- be warm, empathetic, responsive and highly attuned to the emotions, needs and motivations of older people
- hold a valid full NZ driver's licence
