Physiotherapist - Rotational

- Permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE), 40 hours per week

Dunedin Hospital is thrilled to offer a Physiotherapist Rotational Programme designed to provide comprehensive experience across various clinical settings. This exciting opportunity is open to two new or recent graduates eager to make a difference.
Programme highlights:
- Six-month rotations: Gain valuable experience in acute inpatient services (including medical and acute stroke, respiratory, surgical, critical care, orthopaedics, emergency department, medical assessment unit, and paediatrics), rehabilitation (inpatient and community), outpatients, and community physiotherapy.
- Flexible start dates: While rotations change in February and August, you can begin at any time. We are currently looking for candidates to start in April 2025 and June 2025.
Please note the additional responsibilities of this role participation in weekend and on-call rosters and cover weekend shifts as part of the weekend rotation program in certain rotations.

We are seeking hardworking, enthusiastic, and self-directed learners who are keen grow their knowledge and skills across a range of clinical areas offered at Dunedin Hospital, to join our team. We prefer candidates who will be open to be placed in any rotation within Health New Zealand Southern. This position will be suitable for physiotherapists with less than three years of experience.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive approach towards learning is essential. You will have the drive to develop quality services in collaboration with others while working alongside a committed inter-professional team of health professionals.
You will be keen to develop skills to work autonomously in a variety of settings listed above which include respiratory wards, and intensive/critical/high-dependency care.
You will be proficient at managing and prioritising your own learning goals and professional development plan for each rotation.
You will need to be adaptable and flexible allowing you to work effectively with your clients and within a changing health environment.

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the PSA Allied, Public Health Scientific and Technical Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($74,842) and Step 2 (82,856) p.a pro-rata.
