Clinical Nurse Specialist - ENT

About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work with specific population groups and their whānau, as part of a multidisciplinary team across the services in the Directorate. The Nurse Specialist is an advanced nursing practice role and is responsible for providing specialist nursing care and/or coordination of care to a specific patient/client population across healthcare settings.
We are looking for an exceptional Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Whangarei Hospital team working in ENT outpatients. The purpose of this position is to utilise specialist nursing knowledge and skills to provide patient focused care and coordination that will optimise the patient's journey, improve health outcomes and ensure that an excellent quality of care is provided.
About the Service
Our diverse team comprises doctors, specialist nurse, registered nurses, and healthcare assistants (HCAs), working collaboratively to provide high-quality ENT outpatient services across Te Tai Tokerau, including Whangarei Hospital and rural areas through our mobile ENT Van (Tarapunga).

About you
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) and holder of a current annual practicing certificate
- Postgraduate diploma in specialty nursing practice
- Working towards completion of Master's degree in nursing or health related area
- PDRP Expert
- A personal commitment to ongoing learning and development
- Minimum 3 years ENT specialty experience
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
