About the Role
The Oral Health Service is an integrated hospital, community and child and adolescent service providing oral healthcare to the Northland population. This role is based in Whangārei but will involve frequent travel to rural hospitals and community clinics across the region.
Our dentists assist with treatment beyond the scope of practice of a Dental / Oral Health Therapist and assist with patients under sedation, general anaesthetic, the medically compromised, eligible pre-schoolers, students, adolescents and adults. This position would suit a motivated individual with a post graduate qualification or great interest in public oral health.

The subtropical Northland region stretches upwards from Auckland to the very top of NZ covering an area of 12,600 square kilometres with a growing population. Northland is a story of two coastlines – the west coast is rugged and soulful while the east coast is relatively more sophisticated and urbane. About you
To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist and/ or general dentistry registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand (DCNZ).
If you are currently overseas / not yet registered, we can assist you with the application process to obtain DCNZ registration.
