About the Role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse, to join our supportive community-based Te Roopu Whitiora - Kaupapa Maori Adult Mental Health and Addictions multidisciplinary team, based in Whangarei. This is a full time (40 hours per week) permanent role.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a new position within the service to assist Tāngata Whaiora and whanau to navigate their health care journey through Te Roopu Whitiora Whangarei Kaupapa Maori Mental Health service. Specific focus on succession planning; entry to discharge with a targeted health journey that meets the needs of Tāngata Whaiora and Whanau to receive an equitable treatment that is optimised and kaupapa focused.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a registered nurse and hold a current practicing certificate
- Sound judgement for safe and appropriate decision making to assess the presence, severity and complexity of a person's mental illness symptoms
- Hold a full drivers licence
- Have experience working within the Community Mental Health and Addiction setting and be dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Maori.
- Have well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work as part of a positive and productive multidisciplinary team
