About the role:
Achieving the best health outcomes for our tamariki starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is looking for a motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our Child Health Services team at Whangarei Hospital.
The primary function of this role is to work in the Outpatients clinic under the direction/delegation of Registered Nurse (RN) to provide the best outcomes concerning the health status of tamariki.
The Enrolled Nurse is to provide safe, effective whānau centred care using professional knowledge and skills, in accordance with:
- Te Whatu Ora policies
- Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice
- Nursing Practice Standards
- Nursing Council of NZ Enrolled Nurse competencies
Provide ongoing monitoring and support ensuring developmentally appropriate care is provided in a culturally appropriate and sensitive way.
This position is a permanent, full time role working 40 hours per week according to a roster.
There may be some flexibility with the shifts worked and part time may be available for the right candidate.
Key Requirements:
- Enrolled Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
- Transitioned to current EN scope of practice or willingness to do so
- Computer Literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Enjoy working with tamariki and their whānau
Recent experience in a hospital and/or outpatient setting is desirable.
