About the role

 

Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is looking for a motivated Nurse Educator to join our Integrated Operations Centre at the Whangarei Hospital.

 

In This role you will support with the safe staffing programme and will be responsible for implementation, maintenance and ongoing development of TrendCare patient acuity system across Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau

 

The Nurse Educator is responsible for promoting, facilitating, and providing clinical education to maximise healthcare delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and promote clinical excellence and evidence-based professional nursing practice. The outcomes of the role are to facilitate all new and experienced staff to receive the appropriate clinical support for orientation and ongoing professional development to enable the provision of safe patient care.

 

This is a 1.0 FTE role working 40 hours per week on a fixed term ending 5 August 24 to provide a maternity leave cover.

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
    • At least 5 years post registration experience
    • Postgraduate certificate/diploma
      • Clinical teaching experience
